Hamilton residents can win a $500 PRESTO card for taking part in an HSR travel study

The City of Hamilton is looking for 200 participants for the HSR Travel Log Study.
The city says the information collected will give Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) a “greater understanding” of customers’ travel patterns. The data will be used to improve the city’s methods for counting the number of trips taken daily, and “help improve the customer experience when riding transit.”
Participants will be selected based on certain criteria to ensure results are representative of HSR’s ridership.
The Travel Log Study will run from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, 2021. Participants will have the option to complete the survey using a paper or digital travel log and must track at least 14 days (ideally 28 days) of travel.
Participants who submit a completed travel log will be entered into a random draw for a chance to win:
- Grand prize: $500 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card
- Second prize: $300 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card
- Third prize $100 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card
The draw will be held in January 2022 and is subject to the successful completion of a travel log and contest rules.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up for the HSR Customer Research Panel. If candidates are not selected this time, HSR may ask you to participate in future studies.
