Hamilton Police lay stunt driving charges on Red Hill Valley Parkway

The Hamilton Police Service routinely uses Twitter to make an example out of stunt drivers. At 10:29 a.m. on Monday, police posted a photo of a motorcycle being towed.
The driver allegedly travelled 134 km/h on the Red Hill Valley Parkway in Hamilton, despite the posted limit being 80 km/h.
Police posted that the driver’s license was seized and suspended for the next 30 days.
The driver’s bike was also impounded for 14 days.
Traffic Safety Unit was conducting enforcement on Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway in #HamOnt.

The penalty for stunt driving – or travelling 50 km/h over the posted limit – includes a license suspension and vehicle impoundment. Drivers can also face jail time, a fine of up to $10,000, and a 100 per cent increase in their insurance rate.
