Hamilton Police investigate shots fired in rural Flamborough

Hamilton police confirm shots were fired in a rural area of Flamborough this morning (March 18), but there is no indication that anyone has been injured.
Reports came in just after 1 a.m. that sounds of gunfire could be heard in the area of Old Highway 8 and Highway 8.
When officers arrived at the scene no suspects could be found, but there was evidence that a weapon had been fired.
A check with hospitals indicate no reported injuries.
Detectives are appealing to area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police. As well, if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review please also contact investigators.
