19-year-old dies in morning crash; Hamilton Police search for answers

Hamilton police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old motorist Tuesday morning.
The man was involved in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Burlington St. and Parkdale Ave. Police say he was alone in the vehicle when it struck a concrete pillar below the overpass.
Investigators say the crash happened just after 3:30 a.m., and they’re seeking witnesses and video of the incident as they look into the circumstances surrounding the crash and the man’s death.
“Emergency services were called and assisted with life-saving measures,” the Hamilton Police Service issued. “The male was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.”

Burlington St. East is closed between Strathearne Ave. and Nikola Tesla Blvd.
Parkdale Ave. North is also closed, north of Glow Ave.
