19-year-old dies in morning crash; Hamilton Police search for answers

Hamilton police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old motorist Tuesday morning.

The man was involved in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Burlington St. and Parkdale Ave. Police say he was alone in the vehicle when it struck a concrete pillar below the overpass.

Investigators say the crash happened just after 3:30 a.m., and they’re seeking witnesses and video of the incident as they look into the circumstances surrounding the crash and the man’s death.

“Emergency services were called and assisted with life-saving measures,” the Hamilton Police Service issued. “The male was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.”

Parkdale Avenue North remains CLOSED at Burlington Street East in #HamOnt as investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding a single motor vehicle collision which left one 19-year-old male deceased.
