Hamilton man finally getting a deck after $100,000 Encore lotto win

A 56-year-old Hamilton man is excited to finally be getting an outdoor deck after matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order to win $100,000 with OLG’s Daily Grand lotto game.
Richard Weatherston of Stoney Creek works in the construction industry and says he’s been a regular lottery player since he was 18.
“I was at home one night when I decided to check my ticket. My wife went to bed and said, ‘Don’t wake me up unless you win big,'” Weatherston said. “I couldn’t believe it when I realized my numbers matched. I double-checked using the OLG app, and then went upstairs to tell my wife. She said, ‘Get out!'”
Weatherston plans to complete some home renovations with his win.
“I’d like to have a nice deck built to enjoy the nice weather,” he added.

The winning ticket was purchased at Green’s Variety on Barton St. in Stoney Creek.
