A Hamilton detached home that sold in 2019 for $608,000 just sold again for more than double what it sold for three years ago.

The home, located on Dewitt Road in lower Stoney Creek, was listed for $1,150,000 on February 8, 2022, and sold a little under a month later on March 2 for $1,270,000 (more than 21 per cent over asking).

In 2019, the home was listed for $659,900 but the listing was terminated. A few months later, the same property was listed again for $629,000 and ultimately sold for $608,000.

Most recently, this spacious back split featured 6 + 2 bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a newly renovated basement with kitchen, newer flooring throughout new appliances and plenty of charm.

The large lot included parking enough for six cars and a big, fenced-in private backyard.

The average sale price for a home in this neighbourhood currently sits at $870,200, which is a year-over-year increase of 7 per cent, according to data from Zoocasa.

Here’s a look at the house in 2022 vs. what it looked like in the 2019 listing.
