Hamilton firefighters battle multiple-alarm blaze at commercial property on east mountain

Hamilton Fire Department crews battled a multiple-alarm fire at a commercial complex on the east mountain late Tuesday night (Feb. 1).
According to the HFD, crews were called to reports of a structure fire at 178 Nebo Rd. just before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a ‘well involved’ fire and more resources and police were called in to secure the scene as firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control.
Flames were so intense at times that crews were forced to back away from the structure.
“Crews have been pulled out of the building. This is now a defensive operation,” HFD said in a Tweet.
No injuries have been reported.
