Halton Region to ‘align’ with province on booster shots

More residents in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills will soon be able to book their third COVID-19 doses.
The provincial government announced expansion of the third doses to residents 50 and over (born in 1971 or earlier) and high-risk individuals beginning on Dec. 13.
Individuals who fall into the age group will be able to schedule their booster shot appointment through the COVID-19 vaccination portal.
“We are ready and plan to align with the province,” Halton Region said in a tweet on Friday.
Local residents are asked to continue to check their website at www.halton.ca for further updates and details.
Those eligible will also be able to get their third doses through more than 100 participating pharmacies in Halton or across the province. Go to https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations to find the pharmacy closest to you.
