Halton police reaching out to Oakville residents for help solving last week’s shooting

Halton police are hoping members of the public can help them with their investigation into last week’s shooting in Oakville.

The incident occurred in a residential area on Zachary Cres., near Post Rd. on Sunday, Jan. 16.

Investigators are appealing to members of the public for dash cam video or witness information that may assist them.

A white Honda SUV with damage to the passenger side was observed in the Zachary Cres. on the day of the shooting.

Shortly after 6 p.m., two males in dark clothing exited the white SUV and shot multiple rounds into a car on Zachary Crescent striking a male victim, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The two shooters then fled back to the SUV and were last seen travelling northbound on Post Road.

It is believed the suspects had been in the neighbourhood several hours before the shooting occurred. The suspects are also believed to have been in the area on Jan. 12 and 13.

Anyone with witness information or dash cam footage from the areas of Zachary Cres., Post Rd., Camellia Cres., Marvin Ave., Bowbeer Rd. and Vernon Powell Dr. on Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or on Jan. 12 or 13, is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2216.
