Halton police investigating armed robbery at Milton pharmacy

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) – 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a pharmacy in Milton.

Police say shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 24, HRPS officers responded to a robbery-in-progress call at Holly Pharmacy located at 611 Holly Ave.

According to police, two suspects, which were described as youths, entered the pharmacy with knives and stole narcotics from a safe.

There were employees working at the time, however, no physical injuries were reported, police say.

The suspects made their escape prior to police arrival and fled in a 2014 white Kia Rondo bearing Ontario licence plate BSSY312, according to police.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from Peel and has since been recovered.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., HRPS officers observed the suspect vehicle travelling northbound on Ninth Line in the area of Steeles Ave.

Attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful, police say, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Police are seeking any dashcam footage or witness information from the area of the parking lot at 611 Holly Ave. before or after 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Investigators are also looking for footage or witness information from the areas of Holly Ave. and Derry Rd., Derry Rd. to Ninth Line, or Ninth Line to Steeles Ave. between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
