Halton police charge family member in last week’s acid attack on Milton woman

A 57-year-old Quebec woman has been arrested following a chemical attack on a Milton woman last week.

On Thursday, March 9, around 1:30 p.m., the victim, 22-year-old Bradi McCoy, was walking in the area of Syer Dr. and Maxted Cres. in Milton when she was approached by a suspect on foot.

The suspect threw an unknown chemical onto the victim which caused severe burns to her face and body. The suspect then took the victim’s cell phone and fled the scene. The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Halton officers were able to identify the suspect as a family member of the victim. She was arrested today, March 15, in Montreal.

Bradi McCoy, 22, was the victim in last week’s acid attack in Milton.

The 57-year-old female from Quebec has been charged with aggravated assault, administering a noxious substance and robbery

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The victim is currently in stable condition at the hospital. The injuries sustained are life-altering.
