A campaign is on deck across hotspots in Milton, Georgetown and Acton to provide residents with information and tips on how to prevent thefts from vehicles.
“Take the time to secure valuables in the trunk of your car or take them into your house,” said Const. Daniel Gaetan.
“If you park in the driveway or street overnight, make sure that you lock your car and remove any valuables from sight.”

This style of crime has been identified as a top concern for residents and police.
Crime prevention brochures with tips and information on how people can protect themselves will be distributed in areas which have seen a recent spike in thefts from vehicles.
Residents who are interested in learning more about this campaign are encouraged to attend 11 Division (217 Guelph St. in Georgetown) or 12 Division (490 Childs Dr. Milton) to pick up a brochure.
