Work is now underway on a major industrial development in Halton Hills.

Officials broke ground on the new, major development on Futura Dr. in Acton, according to a press release from Halton Hills.

The building will be a 141,000 square foot industrial building from the Panattoni Development Company. Leasing opportunities will be available in the latter half of 2023.

The industrial facility features a 40 foot clear height, 24 truck level doors, and outdoor storage.

The building will accommodate approximately 100-200 employees and could be used for manufacturing, warehousing or logistics.

Mayor Rick Bonnette thanked Panattoni for choosing Halton Hills.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome you to our Town,” the mayor said. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship and continuing to develop our strong partnership with the Panattoni team well into the future.”

The project received site plan approval and the necessary building permit within one year.

It is a $35 million investment by the Panattoni Development Company and Halton Hills expects the development will bring positive spin-off economic benefits for the Acton community.

It is the first development from Panattoni in Halton Hills.

Panattoni Development Company Canada has industrial and office developments throughout the GTA, Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton.
