Garbage Truck Fire Closes Major Road in Mississauga

Police and fire/emergency services are on scene for a vehicle fire this afternoon in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police reported around 6:25 p.m. that a garbage truck fire is causing delays in the area of Dundas Street eastbound, east of Dixie.
The roadway is currently closed as a result. No injuries have been reported.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area until the roadway reopens.
UPDATE: Dundas remains closed between Summerville and Wharton Way as cleanup continues. The closure is expected to last for another hour.
UPDATE: Dundas is now open.
