A “do not approach” bulletin was issued Friday for a wanted fugitive who is believed to be in Hamilton.

The Hamilton Police say they have laid three charges against Dylan Wynne in connection with an incident that occurred 14 months ago, on Nov. 26, 2021. Wynne is wanted on counts of assault causing bodily harm, possession of a prohibited Weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to a court order.

In photos released by HPS, Wynne presents as a white male with a light complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair worn variously in a buzzcut and fauxhawk. The police say he has ties to areas around Hamilton, but believe he is in the city. Anyone who sees him should contact 911.

“He has ties to all surrounding regions,” HPS says. “If you see Dylan Wynne do not approach but call 911 immediately.”

Not the Ticats player

The accused is not the prominent Hamilton Tiger-Cats football player who has the same name, but with one fewer vowel. Dylan Wynn, a veteran defensive lineman, spells his family name W-Y-N-N — without an E on the end.

Anyone who has any information that could assist HPS in locating Dylan Wynne should contact Det.-Const. Rob Glanfield (905-540-6431).

Information may also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477; crimestoppershamilton.com).
