A free concert kicks off a summer series in Mississauga next month.
The City of Mississauga’s Summer Concert Series starts Sunday, July 5, at Port Credit Memorial Park.
The series brings free outdoor concerts in July and August at Cooksville Four Corners, Port Credit Memorial Park and Streetsville Village Square.
The first concert of the season is the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony in the Park, bringing a “fun and accessible mix of light classical music, pop hits and iconic movie themes,” according to a press release from organizers.
Last year’s Symphony in the Park attracted an audience of over 2,000 people.
“Performing outdoors as part of the City of Mississauga’s Summer Concert Series is always a highlight of our season,” said Maestro Denis Mastromonaco, MSO artistic director and conductor. “It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and share great music in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We’re proud to be part of this celebration of music in Mississauga.”
The concert is on Sunday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Port Credit Memorial Park.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and a prime spot.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket from home.
