Fourth worker at Hamilton Fortinos tests positive for COVID-19

A fourth staff member at a Hamilton Fortinos store has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Loblaw Companies’ website.
The last day this member was in the store, located on Highway 8 in Stoney Creek (Fiesta Mall) was on Tuesday (Nov. 3).
As of Friday morning, Hamilton’s Public Health Services (HPS) have not declared an outbreak at this location and they will not comment on individual cases.
The last day the other confirmed positive team members worked was on October 27, October 29 and November 1.
“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores,” Loblaw Companies says on their website.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
