Police are on the lookout for a group of teen boys after a man was stabbed in downtown Pickering last night.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was in a plaza by Kingston and Glenanna Rds. after 2 a.m. on Feb. 5 when he got in a fight with a group of teens, according to Durham Regional Police.

During the altercation, the victim was stabbed resulting in a non-life-threatening wound. Police soon responded and arrived at the area, home to the Pickering Town Centre and numerous stores, banks and restaurants, around 2:25 a.m.

On arrival, they found the victim, who was then rushed to a local hospital. He has since been treated and discharged.

However, police believe he was not the only one harmed in the fight. One of the suspects is thought to have suffered injuries to his face or head.

Police say they’re searching for four or five suspects of the attack, all of whom remain unidentified. Investigators describe the group as white guys in their teens. They were all wearing black puffy Nike coats, hats and balaclavas.
