Four people charged in connection with stolen vehicle investigation in Burlington

Halton Regional Police have arrested four people in connection with a stolen auto investigation that started in Burlington.

Police say that on Jan.24 2023, officers observed a previously reported stolen black Infiniti from Peel being driven to Burlington.

The stolen vehicle was seen pulling into an address on Concession Rd W. in the area of Millgrove.

Police say a second stolen vehicle, a white Infiniti that was reported stolen from Peel on Jan.23, had already been parked in the driveway.

Both stolen vehicles were seen being driven to another address within the same area.

Police say that after further investigation, one male was arrested at the address on Concession Rd. 5 W. and two males and a female were arrested at an address on Concession Rd. 6 W.

Police say a search warrant for these addresses led to several items being seized, including three stolen Infiniti SUVs, a number of drugs and an airsoft gun.

The value of the vehicles, seized drugs and contraband cigarettes is approximately $430,000, according to police.

61-year-old John Schouten of Millgrove has been charged with three counts of possession of property over $5000 obtained by a crime.

45-year-old Justin Gibson, 50-year-old Jennifer Gibson and 20-year-old Brayden Gibson have been charged with several offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of unmarked tobacco for sale.

Since the arrest, all suspects have been released on an undertaking.
