Foul play is now suspected after human remains were found in an Ontario home.
The remains were found on Tuesday, June 2, at a home near 10th Line and 10th Sideroad in Thornton, Ontario Provincial Police said. Thornton is a small community about 15 kilometres south of Barrie.
The preliminary postmortem determined the remains are those of an adult female, the OPP said today.
The identity of the woman has not yet been confirmed, police said.
The OPP asks for the public’s assistance and anyone with information should contact police.
Local residents are urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity, police said.
