Drivers in Hamilton and Niagara are warned of a fog advisory currently in effect for most of southern Ontario.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) reported excessive amounts of fog around 8:30 a.m. this morning (Sept. 17) saying the visibility in some areas could be reduced to zero.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog patches. While driving, activate headlights and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Meteorologists say the fog is expected to dissipate later this morning.
