Vincenzo and Settimia Carroccia of Mississauga have just won theGuaranteed $1 Million Prize in the May 16, 2020, Lotto 6/49 draw.

“We’ve been playing the same numbers for 23 years,” the married couple told OLG.

Vincenzo, 70, was gardening while Settimia, 71, went to check their tickets and replay their numbers. “The lottery terminal locked and I called Vincenzo to come meet me. I was shocked!”

The pair told OLG they are thankful to be able to help their kids with this win. “We’re going to surprise our family and take some time to relax and settle into this win. We’re going to think about the best way to share this with our grandchildren,” they concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Daisy Mart on Miller’s Grove in Mississauga.

Antonio Carbone of Mississauga has also just won $50,000 in the August 11, 2020, Evening draw. He also won $1,000 on his 9 Pick bringing his total winnings to $51,000.

Carbone, a 63-year-old demolition worker, went to the same store he’s been going to for the past 25 years to purchase and check his tickets, according to OLG.

“I gave my tickets to the clerk and went about my business when she called me back to tell me I won big!” he told OLG.

“She whispered that I won $50,000 in my ear – at first I didn’t believe her!”

The father and grandfather told OLG that the first thing he did was call his boys to tell them the good news.

“This win is all about my family – we can’t travel, so I will share with my kids and let them use it to enhance the quality of life for their kids,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Forest Glen Deli & Appetizer on Fieldgate Drive in Mississauga.

Eugenio Perri of Mississauga is also celebrating after winning an Ontario 49 second prize worth $50,000 in the May 30, 2020 draw. Perri matched five numbers plus the bonus number to win the prize.

Piwek told OLG he’s an occasional lottery player normally playing Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49.

The father of three told OLG he realized he was a winner after using the OLG Lottery App.

“I am very happy to win. It provides a sense of security,” he told OLG.

According to OLG, Piwek plans to save some of his winnings and has a couple of other ideas. “I want to use it for some web design projects and help the homeless,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Mosley Street in Wasaga Beach.

Owen Syblis of Mississauga has also just won $64,373.20 after winning a Lotto Max second prize in the August 14, 2020 draw. Syblis matched six numbers plus the bonus number to win the prize.

The 57-year-old father of two told OLG he’s a weekly lottery player.

Syblis told OLG he went to the retailer to purchase some tickets when the cashier handed him a big surprise. “The retailer had to tell me I won,” he said.

According to OLG, plans for Syblis’ winnings include paying bills and investing. “Thanksgiving supper is on me this year!” he said.

“It’s a great feeling to have this extra money,” he concluded.
