Two firefighters were reportedly sent to hospital after battling a house fire in Oshawa.

The fire broke out at a home on Groveland Avenue, near Harmony Road North and Clearbrook Drive in north Oshawa, Oshawa Fire Services said on a social media post just after 11 p.m. on Monday (March 18).

The residents reportedly got out with no injuries and fire crews rescued pets.

Reports indicate two firefighters were sent to hospital — one after falling through the roof. The injuries are thought to be minor.

Oshawa Fire asked people to stay clear of the area.
