Canadian singer/songwriter Feist will bring her blend of indie-pop to Burlington for a special outdoor performance later this year.

Feist will be the guest at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) on Sept. 19 to usher in the change of seasons for a show on the grounds at Mitchell’s Field.

Internationally known for her blend of folk, pop, jazz and rock, the 14-time Juno Award-winning artist was a founding member of Broken Social Scene until she emerged as a solo performer reaching acclaim for her 2007 release The Reminder which earned her a Grammy nomination as well as garnering positive reviews in Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and Spin.

Her success has also led to performances on Saturday Night Live and Sesame Street and the New York Times has three times honoured her for having the album of the year.

Mitchell’s Field is a grassy, open-air space in the Hendrie Park area of RBG designed for concerts and other large events.

Tickets for the show will be available in two categories. General admission tickets are first-come-first-served with guests encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, cushions, or pillows for seating.

Premium tickets offer optimal viewing and reserved seating. These seats can be selected when booking tickets.

Ticket prices vary and go on sale to RBG members on May 8 at 11 a.m. and to the general public on May 10 at 11 a.m.

Seating and ticket information can be found here.

The show starts at 7 p.m.
