Fatal crash closes portion of Niagara-bound QEW in Hamilton

A fatal collision has closed a portion of the QEW in Hamilton Friday morning (Oct. 29).
According to the OPP, the Niagara bound QEW is closed at Fruitland in Stoney Creek as officers remain on the scene to investigate the early-morning crash.
The crash, between a transport truck and car occurred shortly after 6 a.m.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP said motorists should expect major delays as the highway closure is likely to remain in effect for the rest of the morning.
