Emergency crews attempting to rescue dog in distress in Mississauga

Emergency crews are attempting to rescue a dog who has fallen through the ice in Mississauga.

Peel police say emergency crews were called to the Indian Summer Trail and Leatherleaf Dr. area around 12:00 pm on Dec. 23. 

Police say a dog has fallen through the ice and into a body of water near a dog park.

Officers and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services are on scene. 

UPDATE:

Police say the dog has been rescued.
