Durham Regional Police are urging drivers to use alternate routes after closing off roads in Whitby following a collision early this evening.

On Saturday (Mar. 4) 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., police responded to a crash in the area of Rossland Rd E/Anderson St in Whitby.

Police are continuing to investigate and have closed off Anderson St (southbound) and Rossland Rd (eastbound) all the way up to Bassett Ave.

Motorists are who are planning to drive in the area are asked to change their route or avoid the area completely.

As of right now, no information on those involved in the collision or any injuries has been reported by police.
