Two men from Brampton are facing charges after months-long investigations into alleged drug trafficking in Wasaga Beach.

The OPP says officers began looking into reports of illegal drug activity in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood back in January.

The investigation led officers to launch two simultaneous raids at two addresses in Wasaga Beach where police say they found an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, and “a weapon.”

Police say a 26-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with multiple trafficking-related offences.

Then just five days later, police say officers with the Huronia West Detachment spotted another suspect linked to a drug trafficking investigation launched in February.

Police say the 21-year-old suspect from Brampton was stopped in a vehicle in Clearview Township on April 30 and investigators found a loaded firearm, cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

The OPP says Daniel Clarke, 26 of Brampton, was arrested and charged with multiple trafficking offences, and Tevonte Brown-Fenty, 21, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with multiple weapons and drug-trafficking-related offences.

The accused were both held for bail hearings at a later date.
