Driver falls asleep in live lane on QEW in Niagara Falls

A driver has been charged after allegedly falling asleep at the wheel in Niagara Falls.

OPP say they were dispatched early Saturday morning (Mar. 12) to a vehicle that was stopped in a live lane of traffic on the QEW.

Police say they found the driver asleep at the wheel with a quantity of alcohol readily available.

The driver, who has not been identified by OPP at this time, was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

Their licence was also suspended and vehicle towed from the scene.
