Drive Festival – the “ultimate car show” on at Bowmanville’s CTM Park September 9-11

If you want to see exotic vehicles and supercars from behind the purple rope, there’s always the Auto Show. But if you want to see million dollar, ultra fast cars driven FAST – and maybe even get behind the wheel of one – there’s only one place to be: the Drive Festival, happening September 9-11 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

This is the second year of the event, organized by Festival Director Adam Ruppel, and last year’s exotic car party was a banger. This year there’s even more iconic cars on display and more things for patrons to do, including test driving some of these cars on one of three vehicle test tracks: the Continental Tire Performance Track, PRO-SERIES Manufacturer Track and an off-road track.

Chevrolet will also showcase the all-new Corvette Z06 and have simulator experiences on site. Lucid is also showcasing the Lucid Air Grand Touring with test drive experiences for Drive Festival VIPs.

If you just want to relax and enjoy the view, the Drive Festival, located just north of Bowmanville at the track formerly known as Mosport, offers more than 900 acres of space where exhibitors and car clubs will be showcased. These include exotic, race and rare cars, manufacturer models featuring electric and hybrid cars, SUVs and trucks as well as vintage, modified and new motorcycles.

In short, Drive Festival is the ultimate car show for auto enthusiasts in Canada.

But speed is the main attraction and the most anticipated feature at the event is the Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run where auto enthusiasts can see, hear and experience Canada’s largest selection of exotic, classic and iconic cars driven at speed all weekend long.

This year, Mobil 1 will be The Official Presenting Sponsor of Drive Festival. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Mobil 1,” said Ruppel. “As a respected global motorsports brand, they are a great fit and we are excited to have them on board as our presenting sponsor.”

Ruppel promises more McLarens, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Bugattis, vintage and new race cars and American Muscle than last year’s successful inaugural event. “In addition, we are celebrating 75 Years of Ferrari with some special Ferraris this year, including the return of the 1966 Ferrari Dino SP back from Pebble Beach.”

You can see these world-class cars in the AVIVA Ovation Paddock at Monaco Pavilion.

Extremely rare cars will be on display, including the Czinger 21C, The Pagani Huayra BC, Ford GT40, McLaren P1 and the 300 SL Gullwing. For EV lovers, a variety of electric and autonomous technology will be on display at The Ontario Tech University/ACE Innovation Zone.

Pfaff Automotive Group is showcasing some special vehicles, including the innovative, exciting and aforementioned Czinger 21C, which is setting production car track records all over North America and will be part of the Dream Car Speed Run.

“We have more automobile manufacturers, car clubs and exhibitors this year, plus more interactive displays,” added Ruppel. “In addition, our AVIVA Electric Avenue will showcase all-electric vehicles from Tesla, Chevrolet, Porsche, VinFast and the GMC Hummer EV.”

Kia, Hyundai, Nissan and Jeep will be offering test drives on one of the three vehicle test tracks and the Porsche Roadshow will display a wide range of vehicles at the Continental Tire Performance Track.

Donate $25 to the TCGT Foundation, and you will get a thrill ride on the Demi Chalkias Autocross Circuit. And due to massive demand last year, Pinnacle Advanced Driving Academy will offer ride-along autocross laps on a second circuit by the Continental Tire Performance Track.

The food selection is also expanded this year and organizers have built a larger Family Zone with VOLTZ Toys, Supon RC Cars, EZ Bike, Beachman and Brampton Batman with his Batmobile.

Getting around Drive Festival will be easier this year as complimentary bus shuttles are offered for all attendees.
