The Town of Oakville wants to know if the sound of wind chimes bothers you.

What about leaf blowers and music?

Oakville is looking to revamp its noise bylaw and wants public input to help with the decision making process.

Residents can now fill out an online survey to address the issue and also take part in an in-person public meeting to express their views.

The online survey considers several different noisy situations and asks about such things as lifting current rules that limit construction noise and extending the hours that your neighbours can play music.

Another question asks, “Do you support a ban on the use of wind chimes?”

The survey will be available until April 15.

As well, the Town is hosting the public form in the South Atrium of Town Hall on April 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Residents are invited to drop in to provide input and well as to discuss current community noise stands with Town bylaw personnel.
