DAILY UPDATE: COVID-19 case counts jump up at public schools in Burlington, Milton, Oakville on Oct. 25

Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported at public schools in Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Halton Hills on Oct. 25.

Two of the cases were reported in staff and two in students.

Five new schools are reporting at least one confirmed infection among the board’s 106 faclities.

There are now 12 confirmed, active cases of COVID-19 at Halton District School Board facilities and one classroom closed.

A classroom is considered closed when the teacher and students have to spend at least 10 days quarantining at home and learning online.

As cases are resolved, schools will come off the report.

Elementary

  • Alexander’s: 1 student
  • Anne J. MacArthur: 1 student
  • E.W. Foster: 1 staff
  • Hawthorne Village: 1 student
  • Joshua Creek: 1 student
  • Maplehurst: 1 student
  • Oodenawi: 3 students
  • Tiger Jeet Singh: 1 staff, 1 class closed
  • Tom Thomson: 1 student

Secondary

  • White Oaks (South Campus): 1 student
