Construction to limit parking at Oakville’s Lions Valley Park

Parking in Oakville’s Lions Valley Park will be limited for some time due to construction.
The local park is being used by Halton Region as an access route to construct the Sixteen Mile Creek bridge crossing for William Halton Parkway.
The new bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek is located just north of Lions Valley Park.
During the week, construction vehicles will be parking in the Lions Valley Park parking lot off of Dundas Street. The construction vehicles will heading north across the park to access the construction site.
Parking in the lot will be limited Monday through Friday until construction has been completed at the end of 2024.
Though full parking in the Lions Valley lot will be available on weekends.

The temporary parking limitations will be advised to the public through posted signage on the lot.
With construction vehicles requiring an access road, areas of the park will be fenced off to the public.
Lions Valley Park road has now been signed as “No Parking” on both sides of the road from Dundas Street to the lower parking lot in the park.
The west entrance off of Fourth Line also remains closed for the season.
Should the Dundas Street parking lot for Lions Valley Park be full, residents can park in other lots on Skyvalley Crescent or Old Upper Middle Road, or walk to the park.
