Update: Collision on Hamilton highway ramp leaves person trapped in vehicle

A person was trapped in a car after a collision on Highway 403 in Hamilton during the evening rush hour on Thursday (Nov. 4), which led to all eastbound lanes being closed.
Multiple reports said the crash victim, a 51-year-old man, is in serious but stable condition at a Hamilton hospital.
(Update: all lanes reopened at 8:07 p.m., more than three hours after the collision was reported.)

The Hamilton Fire Department’s automated twitter account, which reports all calls they respond to, said firefighters were responding to a report of a patient being trapped in a car on the eastbound Highway 403 between Highway 52 and Wilson Street. Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) real-time data also showed that all eastbound 403 lanes were closed.
