Earlier tonight, a car went off the road and hit a tree in the area of McVean Drive and Da Vinci Avenue. There was a passenger in the car that was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver has been placed under arrest for impaired driving and was transported to hopsital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Major Collisions Bureau is on the scene, and road closures are in effect in the area.
