Collision in Oakville blocks highway lanes

Two lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way highway in Oakville were blocked due to a collision on Thursday evening (July 22).
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) says that the two right lanes of the Fort Erie-bound QEW are blocked near Highway 403. A photo posted to to the MTO’s 511 Twitter account shows that traffic is backed up as a result of the lanes being inaccessible.

UPDATE: The lanes reopened at 6:51 p.m. on Thursday.

The 511on.ca website, which tracks collision in real time, also says one lane of the eastbound Highway 401 is blocked at Halton Road 22 due to a collision
