There was another round of Beer Store closures this past weekend.
They add to numerous Beer Store closures that have already occurred amid the expanded alcohol marketplace in Ontario in which alcoholic beverages can be bought at additional locations like convenience stores, for instance.
“In an ongoing process, The Beer Store is adapting to market changes and making the hard decision to close retail locations,” Ozzie Ahmed, the vice president of retail at The Beer Store, said in a news release.

“We know this is difficult news for consumers, recyclers and our employees.”
A total of six locations shut down on Sunday.
In just under two weeks, another seven locations are set to close.
These are the six Beer Stores that closed for good at the end of the business day on Sunday, Nov. 2:
- London — 1225 Wonderland Road North
- Mattawa — 511 Valois Drive
- Mississauga — 3535 Etude Drive
- Niagara Falls — 4670 Bridge Street
- Pickering — 1355 Kingston Road
- Sudbury — 891 Notre Dame Avenue
