aristotles restaurant in mississauga closes.

After nearly four decades in Mississauga’s north end, Aristotle’s Steak & Seafood House will serve its last customers on Saturday night.

Located on Millcreek Drive in the Meadowvale area of the city, the fine dining establisment opened in 1989.

On June 13, some 37 “wonderful years” later, the owners said on the restaurant’s website, it’s closing for good.

“The time has come for us to say goodbye,” they said, adding that since 1989 “Aristotle’s Steak & Seafood has been more than just a restaurant — it has been a place where friendships were built, families gathered, celebrations were shared and memories were made. What began as our father’s dream became a lifelong passion for our family and a second home to so many in our community.”

One of the brothers who co-owns the restaurant continued the message to customers, which appears on the home page of the establishment’s website.

“When our father passed away in 2019, my brother and I proudly carried on his legacy, doing our best to continue the tradition and values he built this restaurant on. It has truly been an honour to serve this community and continue what he started.

“As we prepare to close this chapter, we want to sincerely thank every customer, employee, friend and family member who supported us throughout the years. Your loyalty, kindness and memories have meant more to us than words can express.”

The farewell message concluded with mention of a lengthy journey that has been savoured and appreciated.

“While it is difficult to say goodbye, we will always be grateful for the incredible journey and for everyone who walked through our doors over the past three decades. Aristotle’s Steak & Seafood will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”

For nearly 40 years, Aristotle’s served a variety of “sizzling steaks, succulent seafood and savoury sweets, all prepared and served in an unforgettable ambient setting,” the Mississauga restaurant said on its website.

City of Mississauga Ward 9 Coun. Martin Reid said in a post to Facebook last week “… it’s impossible not to appreciate the legacy they built and the countless memories created around their tables.

“Aristotle’s has been more than a restaurant — it has been part of the fabric of our community.”
