A power outage in lower Stoney Creek is affecting close to 1,500 homes and businesses Tuesday (March 3) morning.

A power outage in lower Stoney Creek is affecting close to 1,500 homes and businesses Tuesday (March 3) morning.

Alectra Utilities Tweeted the outage Tuesday morning saying approximately 1,478 residents in the area of Millen Road to Jones Road, from Barton Street to Ridge Road were affected.

The utility company has not disclosed the cause of the outage but says crews have been dispatched to the area and the expected restoration time is 12 p.m.

UPDATE: Power has been restored.
