City of Burlington mourns death of former fire platoon chief

The City of Burlington is mourning the passing of retired Burlington Fire Platoon Chief, Clint Smith.

Smith, who retired back in 2015 after having been with the department for almost 36 years, has passed away.

As a result, flags at Burlington City Hall and fire stations have been lowered in his honour.

“Our deepest condolences to Clint’s family, loved ones and colleagues at the City of Burlington,” wrote Mayor Marianne Meed Ward on Twitter.

“We have lowered the flags at City Hall and fire stations in his honour.”
