Churrasco brings a taste of Portugal to Oshawa

Churrasco of Portugal brought the taste of the old country to Oshawa Saturday with the grand opening of their new location at the Kingsway Village Shopping Centre in Oshawa.
With their famous Churrasco chicken with Piri Piri sauce as the showcase, Churrasco also offers Aldo Verde ‘Green Soup,’ Prego (grilled steak) and Bifana (pork cutlet) sandwiches, grilled quail, squid and sea bass, and a variety of other meat and vegetable options for people craving some Portuguese delicacies.
They also have a retail side with Portuguese groceries available for sale.
The Oshawa location at 1300 King St. E. at Townline Road is the second restaurant in Durham Region, with the location on Middlecoate Drive already a hit at Salem and Taunton roads in north Ajax.
The restaurant open Tuesday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Churrasco of Portugal is closed Sundays.
