Chipotle opening first location for new neighbourhood in Toronto

Chipotle is now everywhere in Toronto, but there are some neighbourhoods in the city that still feel the sting of being a bit left out when it comes to new openings of the Mexican-inspired chain restaurant in the city.

Now, all that is about to change for one area in Toronto.

A new Chipotle is opening in a neighbourhood of Toronto where there has never been one before. The new store is expected to create around 30 local jobs, and of course will offer a quick and convenient location where people in the area can pick up all their favourite Chipotle cravings, without having to go too far.

Chipotle is a massive fast casual chain restaurant with Mexican influences and locations in both the United States of America as well as Canada. The concept works on a signature quick assembly line basis, with diners assembling bowls, burritos, tacos, quesadillas or salads with your fully customizable choice of proteins, toppings and salsas.

The restaurant also serves sides such as chips with queso and guacamole, as well as refreshing agua frescas to drink.

Chipotle also typically serves a rotating selection of limited time specials, such as their honey chipotle chicken that’s both sweet and spicy, as well as a new cilantro lime sauce.

However, tasty food isn’t all that people in the area have to look forward to when it comes to the opening of this brand new location of Chipotle in Toronto. The restaurant is also doing a giveaway for the opening of the new location, with the first 50 guests in line set to receive a complimentary Chipotle-branded speaker.

Chipotle will be opening its newest location in a neighbourhood of Toronto that’s never been this close to guac goodness: Rexdale, an area of Toronto’s Etobicoke area.

The opening of the new location is expected to bring around 30 jobs to the area, and Chipotle is known for its employee perks. The chain offers benefits for employees that include tuition reimbursement, retirement savings matching, access to mental healthcare for employees, a $200 CAD referral bonus for employees who refer a crew member, and a $750 CAD referral bonus for employees who refer an Apprentice or General Manager.

So listen up, Rexdale: if you’ve been craving a taste of Chipotle a little closer to home, you’re soon to get it.
