After a move back to Brampton last year, The Chicken Shop is welcoming guests to its new retail expansion after a ribbon-cutting this week.
The Maple Lodge Farms Chicken Shop moved from its 8175 Winston Churchill Blvd. in Brampton just down the road to a temporary location on Argentina Road in Mississauga in 2024.
A local institution, Maple Lodge Farms had been in Brampton for more than 50 years.
But the move to Mississauga was only temporary, with the new Maple Lodge Farms facility opening late last year on Winston Churchill Boulevard in Brampton.
Maple Lodge Farms held a grand-opening ceremony this week at the new Chicken Shop, with an eat-in and takeout restaurant, new retail space and bulk factory outlet sales, and an outdoor seating area with green space.
“For over fifty years, Maple Lodge Farms and the May family have strengthened our community through local jobs, family support, and economic growth, and this new venture reflects their continued commitment to innovation and community partnership,” said Sonia Sidhu, local MP for Brampton-South.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown were also at the ribbon-cut tin ceremony.
The family-run company says it strives to produce “the best quality chicken products at the best possible price.”
You can visit The Chicken Shop at 8175 Winston Churchill Blvd. in Brampton.
