Well-known chicken shop moves to make way for new location in Brampton

A much-loved takeout chicken joint has a new, temporary spot to make way for a rebuild.
The Chicken Shop at Brampton’s Maple Lodge Farms has moved just down the street from 8175 Winston Churchill Blvd. to a temporary location on Argentina Road.
The move comes as a new Maple Lodge Farms broke ground on a new facility last week that will have an eat-in and takeout restaurant, a new retail space and bulk factory outlet sales.
Maple Lodge Farms says the temporary Chicken Shop has a fresh poultry counter, bulk factory outlet sales, and its own Maple Lodge Farms and Zabiha Halal branded items available, while the rotisserie chicken and takeout counter is closed.
“Get your favourite bulk factory outlet and select retail products at the same great price and quality you’ve come to trust,” Maple Lodge Farms’ website reads.
The new Maple Lodge Farms facility is expected to open in 2025 and will have an outdoor seating area and green space along with the Chicken Shop and retail counters.
