Catholic schools in Milton and Oakville report new COVID-19 cases

The Halton Catholic District School Board is reporting three new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary in Milton.

St. Benedict Catholic Elementary in Milton has also shut down a class after a confirmed COVID-19 infection.

Also in Milton, a new COVID-19 case has been confirmed at both St. Scholastica Catholic Elementary School and St. Benedict Catholic Elementary.

Three Oakville schools have also reported new COVID-19 infections. St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Elementary School, St. Gregory Catholic Elementary School and St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary each have one confirmed case.

There’s also been a classroom closure at St. Luke Catholic Elementary School in Oakville after a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection.

St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School and St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary, both in Oakville, have each had one confirmed COVID-19 case.

Burlington schools St. Anne Catholic Elementary School, St. Mark Catholic Elementary School and St. Raphael Catholic Elementary School have closed classrooms with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

St. Timothy Catholic Elementary School in Burlington has also had a case of the COVID-19 infection.

There has also been a confirmed COVID-19 case at St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School in Georgetown.

Since the opening of schools this year, there have been over 30 cases of COVID-19 reported by the Halton Catholic District School Board.
