Cash registers targeted in a string of Niagara Falls restaurant break-ins

Two Niagara Falls men have been arrested after a string of restaurant break-and-enter where one very specific piece of equipment was targeted – cash registers.

Through the month of June, Niagara Regional Police have been investigating the alleged robberies in Niagara Falls and on June 24, two men were arrested and charged.

Michael Cosby, 37, of Niagara Falls, was charged with five counts break-and-enter with intent to commit theft and public mischief.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing that is expected to take place today (June 25).

Donald Kane, 43, also of Niagara Falls, was charged with one count of break-and-enter with intent to commit theft. He was released with a future court date pending.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
