The Candlelight Concert Series, a series of concerts played by local musicians in stunning locations around the world – each show illuminated by thousands of candles – is coming to Oshawa and the Biltmore Theatre this fall.

Fever, a global live-entertainment discovery platform, brings Candlelight Concerts to the Biltmore in downtown Oshawa for two shows October 7 on the heels of the experience’s success in more than 100 cities around the globe, from Madrid, Lisbon and London to Sydney, Australia, as well as upcoming shows in Canadian theatres, including Toronto’s Parkdale Hall, which will present a tribute to Adele July 18 to August 15 and a tribute to Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye in September.

The Biltmore concert will feature an adapted programs with tributes to Hans Zimmer and Taylor Swift and the Holiday Special featuring ‘The Nutcracker,’ all performed by the Listeso String Quartet.

The programs invite a broader audience that might have never considered a classical music concert before to connect with the most iconic pieces of the greatest composers and listen to the top hits of well-known artists in a different way.

Madrid

Candlelight Concerts was initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers, such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin. Now, the growing list of programs includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists like Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, as well as shows dedicated to K-Pop, movie soundtracks and others.

This multi-sensory experience has also evolved to feature different elements, such as ballet dancers or aerial performers, as well as other genres, such as jazz, soul, opera, flamenco and more.
