A Brampton resident is accused of multiple break-ins and thefts from vehicles in and around Caledon over the last few months.

Back in April, the Caledon OPP say officers began investigating thefts from multiple vehicles in Caledon and surrounding areas, including Southfields Village.

On Friday (May 6), police say they located the vehicle involved in the offences and a suspect was arrested.

Police say break and enter tools and identification from other individuals were seized during the investigation.

A photo of items seized by police include a replica pistol, multiple cell phones, wallets and sets of keys along with various tools.

Udhambir Singh, 23, of Brampton has been charged with:

  • Possession of break and enter tools
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with release order (two counts)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 9 to answer the charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Caledon OPP at 905-284-2241 or toll-free at 1-888-310-1122.

You can also provide information anonymously by contacting Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at peelcrimestoppers.ca.
