Businesses in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara being honoured for commitment to sustainability

Businesses in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara that have shown a commitment to sustainability will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Burlington.
The 10th Annual Sustainability Leadership Awards conference will be held at Royal Botanical Gardens on June 2 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the sustainable progress and achievements of local businesses.
Sustainability Leadership is an organization that aims to inspire and empower sustainability leadership in businesses through the Golden Horseshoe area.
Through initiatives such as the Sustainability Leadership Awards, they aim to support local businesses in realizing the economic benefits of sustainable practices and creating measurable, community-wide progress to greater sustainability.
The Awards Ceremony will kick off with a keynote address from Meaghan Davis with the City of Toronto. This presentation will address the circular economy vision and current initiatives for the City of Toronto, and the benefits this model can bring to businesses.
Sustainability Leadership will then highlight outstanding businesses by presenting this year’s awards in best social, economic, and environmental initiative, and best sustainability report. The event will be concluded with the unveiling of Sustainability Leadership’s 2021 Annual Impact Report.
