A new fast-casual food option is having a grand opening in Waterdown this weekend.

Quesada Burritos & Tacos, which is a national chain with some 170 locations across Canada, is officially opening its location at 80 Dundas St. E. in the growing village that is part of Hamilton. Quesada has found a niche serving Mexican-inspired food that is considered relatively inexpensive and filling. In the last few years, it has complemented in-person dining, delivery and takeout options by also selling home taco kits that customers can used for meals at home or a workplace function.

The new location is the chain’s fifth in Hamilton. For the grand opening on Friday and Saturday (July 29-30), Quesada is offering a free regular-sized burrito to entice customers through the door between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on both days.

The other four Quesada locations in Hamilton are all on the Mountain or suburban areas. The other locations are at 891 Upper James St. (across from the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena), at 1170 Rymal Rd E., at 1080 Wilson St. W. in Ancaster, and at 301 Fruitland Rd. (near the corner of Fruitland and Barton St. in the Stoney Creek/Winona area).
